Tushar Sheth

Tushar Sheth is an Associate in the New York office of Sanford Wittels & Heisler, LLP.

Mr. Sheth represents individuals in class actions involving wage and hour, discrimination, and consumer protection claims. Mr. Sheth is currently representing a proposed class of Level One Managers at Pacific Bell and BellSouth seeking unpaid overtime.

Prior to joining SWH in December 2009, Mr. Sheth was a Staff Attorney at the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF). Mr. Sheth was awarded a New York Community Fellowship from the Open Society Institute in 2004 to start his work at AALDEF. At AALDEF, he represented low income immigrant workers facing labor law violations including failure to pay minimum wage and overtime, tip stealing, discrimination, and labor trafficking and also litigated civil rights cases on behalf of immigrants, focusing on victims of unlawful local enforcement of immigration laws.

Before working at AALDEF, Mr. Sheth was an Assistant Election Law Coordinator and Special Counsel to Florida Democratic Victory 2004 where he assisted in preparing the Democratic Party's election protection efforts in Florida for that year's Presidential election. He also worked as a Litigation Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York, representing clients in complex litigations involving securities, insurance, telecommunications, antitrust, finance, and false advertising.
